Ugandan practice leans heavily toward livestock and mixed caseloads, and the software reflects that. Herds, animal groups, feeding plans and produce records sit next to the small-animal side rather than in a separate product, so a practice covering both a Kampala clinic and farms in the surrounding districts works from one system.

Connectivity outside the main centres is not always kind. VetHubCore runs in a browser on whatever device is to hand, including a phone, and does not need a machine in the corner of the office running a server.

Payments that match the counter

Mobile money is how most Ugandan clients pay, so it is how billing works — MTN Mobile Money and Airtel Money alongside card, taken at the counter or through the pet-owner portal. Payments settle against the invoice automatically, so the front desk is not reconciling a payment confirmation against a paper receipt at the end of the day.

Records worth keeping

Every consultation, vaccination, prescription, lab result and procedure lands in one file per animal. That matters for continuity of care, and it matters when you need to produce a treatment history — the standard the Uganda Veterinary Board expects practices to maintain. Records are searchable in seconds rather than stacked in a cabinet.
